I would need a gun to my head to even consider buying a $50k Chrysler 300....this exact car with 20k miles on it is not worth right around $19-20k.

I’m willing to bet that people aren’t paying sticker for these.

Forget 2015s, Here’s an almost fully loaded 2018
20K miles, $25,978

Thank rental fleets. If you reserve “luxury” at Hertz, chances are you’ll get a 300.

Still a bad price but I bet these go at least 10k under sticker all day. They had 14k on the hood of the pacifica’s when we check those out 6 months ago.

I got one, I liked it and I didn’t even have to reserve luxury, it was in the lot with Sonatas and Malibus . Needs to come only optioned with the V8 IMO

V8 only would definitely be interesting.
I have seen a few V8 ones on rental lots, but they are pretty rare. The last one I looked at a couple months ago at ORD was very basic, I didn’t take it.

Yep almost sucked me in too.. the infotainment for the back seats are incredible. 2 side by side 21 inch hd screens that can play independently or vs each other on a bunch of games not to mention movies and all that. My kids were ready to donate their piggy banks to tip the deal.

Well we’ve owned a bunch of caravans and they always treated us right so I was seriously interested. Your going to think I’m making this up but on our 3rd test drive (this was the 1st drive o f the actual trim we were there to buy) but it broke down lost a cyl .25 miles from the dealership eith 6 miles on the odo . My wife said it’s sign i agreed and we drove to honda and bought an Odyssey

Y eah cost a little more and got a few less options but a way safer bet. Wanted those air conditioned seats so oo bad. Even on quick test drives its immediately noticeable how nice they are. On the Odyssey the only way to get them is to go to the “E lite” trim and that’s a 10k bump.. i should look into seeing if anyone has snagged them from a crashed and up fitted. I’m telling you it was so nice that it could easily be worth a 1k or so.

I think their logic behind their MSRPs is letting people think they got a deal. Joe walks in and needs a new car. Salesman greets him and after some looking around he says “have I got a deal for you Joe. You see that 300 over there, we have another truck of them com ing next week. What if I told you I can get you $7,000 off today? ”. Joe senses the desperation, after an hour haggling, he’s worked them down another $8k, that’s a total of $15k off MSRP. He’s doing so good here he doesn’t even bother to test drive oth er makes. Deals like this don’t happen every day, he has to jump on it before the manager changes his mind. Joe goes home in his $35k 300, and brags to e veryone about how good a deal he got. Joe doesn’t know it was never a $50k car (it's not even a $35k car) , nor does he know in 5 years the trade-in value on that 300 will be $4000.

This was a good choice. My parents bought a Taurus that broke down on the test drive, it was not a good choice (though it never had that particular problem again).
